Japan Sets New World Record for Fastest Internet Speed.

A team of researchers in Japan has achieved a groundbreaking feat, setting a new world record for internet speed at an astonishing 402 terabits per second (Tbps). To put this into perspective, this speed is more than 1.5 million times faster than the average U.S. broadband speed of 226 megabits per second.

To illustrate, a game as large as *Call of Duty: Vanguard*, which is around 170 gigabytes, could be downloaded in just 3 milliseconds at this speed. That’s faster than the blink of an eye, representing a massive leap in technology.

The previous record of 301 Tbps, set in the UK earlier this year, was surpassed by a 25% increase in just a few months. This record-breaking speed was achieved through advanced fiber-optic technology, which uses multiple wavelengths to transmit data more efficiently. Such innovations will play a key role in the development of "Beyond 5G" networks, making ultra-fast internet more accessible in the future.
